SELF-ESTEEM
"Sports do not build character. They reveal it." - Heywood Broun
Denis Waitley: Remember, that self-esteem is made up of both SELF-WORTH and
SELF-TRUST. Self-worth is simply the feeling of being glad that you are you.
Self-trust is the functional belief in your own ability positively and
effectively to control what happens to you in a world of uncertainty.\No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.-- Eleanor Roosevelt
Wayne Dyer said, People will treat you exactly the way we teach them to treat us.A Japanese proverb says, fall seven times stand up eight. You can't choose your circumstances, but you can choose to overcome them.High self-esteem allows you to respond to people not to be defined by them.We teach our children that 2+2=4, i before e except after c and that the capitol of Canada is Ottawa. What we should be teaching them is how unique and special each of them is and that the world is a better place just because they're here. You see, as Martin Luther King once said, You can never be what you ought to be until I am what I ought to be.The greatest sin is not become all that you can be. You have to do that for your children and for everyone that matters most to you.
